OpenAI and ServiceNow deepen collaboration to enhance enterprise AI integration
OpenAI and ServiceNow have expanded their partnership to integrate OpenAI models and agents into ServiceNow workflows, spanning development to security, and to extend ChatGPT Work and Codex to all employees. The collaboration, announced in January, now includes new integrations that bring business context and workflow actions directly into ChatGPT, enabling teams to investigate issues and take action without leaving the platform. ServiceNow customers can connect ChatGPT to their ServiceNow instance and select available capabilities, with Action Fabric ensuring compliance with organizational rules and permissions.
ServiceNow is previewing interactive experiences within ChatGPT, allowing on-call engineers to review alerts, changes, and affected services, then assign teams and initiate fixes. The companies plan to develop new capabilities in application development, cybersecurity, and voice, with features like Codex integration in ServiceNow’s AI Workflow Factory and OpenAI-powered security solutions. ServiceNow will also provide all employees access to ChatGPT Work and Codex, while OpenAI will use ServiceNow workflows in its operations. The ServiceNow MCP plugin is now available in the OpenAI marketplace, with enhanced capabilities expected by year-end 2026. Voice capabilities in the Super Intelligence Control Tower are set for Q1 2027, with security features entering early access in January 2027 and general availability planned for Q2 2027.
