OpenAISource: Business Insider10/09/2026, 21:03
OpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, a specialized AI tool designed to assist financial analysts by integrating data from Daloopa, PitchBook, and LSEG News. The tool enables users to access financial datasets without separate contracts or subscriptions, streamlining data retrieval and analysis. OpenAI also introduced 'granular citations' to allow analysts to trace information back to its sources, enhancing transparency and accuracy. The move aligns with OpenAI's strategy to prepare for its anticipated 2027 IPO by offering industry-specific AI solutions. Sarah Friar, OpenAI's CFO, highlighted the financial services focus during a Goldman Sachs conference, noting the company's partnerships with banks and plans to expand data sources to include S&P Capital IQ, Factiva, and Moody's. GPT-6 Astra, the latest model, is designed to retrieve, analyze, and synthesize financial data, mimicking the capabilities of top analysts. Morgan Stanley has already adopted ChatGPT, signaling growing industry interest in AI-driven financial tools. OpenAI aims to refine its offerings further by training models to interpret and utilize financial data effectively, reinforcing its position in the competitive AI landscape.
