OpenAI launches ultrafast version of GPT-6.1 sol with higher speed and cost

OpenAI has launched an Ultrafast version of its GPT-6.1 Sol model, offering up to eight times the speed of the standard Sol version. The new version comes at a cost six times higher than the standard edition, with pricing set at $12 per million input tokens and $60 per million output tokens. The Ultrafast version is now available in all supported regions and supports data residency compliance for the United States and the European Union. The Ultrafast version is available to Pro 500 users, eligible usage-based Enterprise customers, and credit-based Edu plans. Enterprise users must have their permissions activated by an administrator. OpenAI emphasized that the Ultrafast version is designed for users requiring high-speed processing capabilities, with pricing and performance metrics clearly outlined in the announcement.
