OpenAI unveils 10-terminal parameter model bel, aiming for AGI
OpenAI has completed the pre-training of its new model, Bel, which features an unprecedented 10 trillion parameters. This model, positioned as the next-generation base model after Doug, represents a significant leap in architecture and scale, with the potential to achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI). Industry insiders suggest that Bel's understanding of world models has reached an unprecedented depth, and it may be officially unveiled by year-end or shortly after the release of Astra.
According to insiders, Bel outperforms Astra in areas such as encoding, reasoning, and long-term agent tasks. The model can operate for days without human intervention, showcasing strong self-recovery capabilities and the ability to manage hundreds of parallel sub-agents. OpenAI has also bolstered its computing power and self-developed chip technology, leveraging its Jalapeño chip to enhance technical iteration speed and reduce operational costs.
