OpenAI unveils ultrafast GPT-6.1Sol with 8x performance boost

OpenAI has launched an ultrafast version of its GPT-6.1Sol model, offering up to 8 times the speed of the standard Sol version. The new version is available through the API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work platforms. Pricing for the Ultrafast version is significantly higher, at $12 per million input tokens and $60 per million output tokens, compared to the standard version. The Ultrafast version is accessible to Pro500 users, qualified pay-as-you-go enterprise plans, and education plans with quota-based billing. Enterprise users must have their administrators activate the feature in the background. The Ultrafast version is now available in all supported regions and complies with data residency requirements in the U.S. and the EU.
