Otter.ai, a meeting note-taking tool, has raised $320 million from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund (CVF). The funds will support enterprise growth, international expansion, and product innovation. The company, which has been operational for nearly a decade, previously raised $50 million in total funding, with its last round in 2021. Otter.ai recently crossed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and now approaches new milestones, though it hasn’t disclosed updated figures. The company reported 40 million users to date, up from 2,5 million last year. Pranav Singhvi, Partner and Co-founder of CVF, highlighted Otter’s role in enterprise AI, stating that it enables teams to capture voice data and generate actionable insights. Otter faces competition from companies like Fireflies.ai and Granola, but is advancing with features like a meeting assistant and integration with other AI tools. Alex Gay, newly appointed CMO, emphasized the potential of transforming meeting transcripts into actionable roadmaps for professionals in back-to-back meetings. Otter is experimenting with pre-meeting briefs and Live Assist features to enhance productivity. The company continues to innovate in a crowded market, aiming to improve meeting efficiency through AI-driven insights.
