Profound achieves unicorn status with $1.8 billion valuation and $180m series d funding
Profound, a marketing software startup specializing in AI search optimization, has reached a $1.8 billion valuation following a $180 million Series D funding round. The round, led by Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins, was joined by existing investors such as Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, and South Park Commons.
The company, which launched two years ago as an analytics platform, has expanded to offer marketing strategy research and creation tools for businesses. Profound’s revenue has grown threefold in the past six months, with over 1,000 enterprise customers, including Comcast, The Estée Lauder Companies, and Walmart.
The funding comes less than seven months after its previous $96 million Series C round. The company is part of a growing trend in the GEO/AEO space, focusing on optimizing visibility in AI-driven search systems. The last day to book an exhibit table at Disrupt’s Expo Hall is September 18.
