Qiyuan t1 debuts as world's first transformable personal robot

On September 20, 2026, Qiyuan Robotics launched the T1, claiming it as the world's first transformable personal robot. The device can switch between bipedal and quadrupedal modes, with a starting price of 19,999 yuan. The robot stands at approximately 100cm tall and weighs 16kg, offering a battery life of 2 to 3 hours. It features smooth force-controlled joints and can adapt its form based on terrain, while also being able to detect obstacles and recognize identities. The T1 is designed for a range of tasks, including helping children with language practice, interactive gaming, and carrying up to 3kg. It also supports long-term memory and customizable personality settings, and can autonomously charge when low on power or idle. The T1 is available in five color options, showcasing Qiyuan's focus on both functionality and aesthetics. The launch marks a significant step for the company, which has previously partnered with Tencent Cloud WorkBuddy AI to integrate advanced AI capabilities into its products.
