Qwen office accelerates astronomical research with ai-powered telescope simulation system

Alibaba Cloud's Qwen Office has partnered with the National Astronomical Observatory to develop a high-precision telescope simulation system in just three days at a cost under 1,000 yuan. This marks a significant reduction compared to previous methods, which required three months and costs of several ten thousand yuan. The system integrates telescope components, sensors, and environmental data into a standardized MCP interface, enabling AI agents to monitor and control equipment seamlessly. IT Home reports that the AI framework has been integrated with the 'Sitian' probe and prototype, detecting eight potential early supernovae, two of which triggered follow-up observations under favorable weather conditions. The system allows agents to autonomously complete a closed-loop process of state perception, task planning, solution generation, and process validation, significantly reducing the need for real-world trial and error.
