QwenBook AI device debuts at cloud conference with unique design features

At the 2026 Cloud Conference, IT Home reported that Alibaba Cloud's Wuying team unveiled a new AI device called QwenBook, positioned as a native intelligent computer. The device, resembling a Qwen tablet, will be showcased in a demo version. The QwenBook features a tablet with a keyboard and touchpad, offering a laptop-like experience. It includes a Type-C port for expansion, a large touchpad, and a system interface similar to macOS. The device runs on an Android-based system and integrates with Alibaba services like Taobao and DingTalk. A small screen on the back of the device displays cartoon characters, and the keyboard includes a dedicated Qwen key. The product is expected to launch by year-end or early next year, though the demo version shown is not the final product. The QwenBook also supports WPS through collaboration with Kingsoft, and includes features like system-level note-taking, a knowledge base, and memory management. IT Home observed the device during the conference and confirmed its unique design elements, including the dual-camera setup with a small display. The team emphasized their control over the tools and the integration of AI capabilities into the user experience.
