Robinhood launches AI trading tool to automate investments for retail users

Robinhood, known as the 'retail investor hub' in the U.S., has launched an AI trading tool called Robinhood Agents. This tool allows users to automate their trading by monitoring the market and executing trades even when they are away from their screens. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated that this technology will bring advanced trading capabilities previously reserved for hedge funds and Wall Street institutions to everyday investors. The new AI tool is integrated directly into Robinhood's app, making it more accessible to users. Earlier this year, Robinhood introduced AI features that allowed users to connect external AI agents to their trading accounts, with over 150,000 users signing up for AI trading accounts since then. The platform will initially use models from Anthropic and OpenAI, with one model, Luna, available for free until the end of 2026. Users are responsible for all trades executed by AI agents, and Robinhood has not yet released performance data comparing AI traders with traditional methods.
