Step unveils first ai-powered smartphone with native intelligent agent system
Step Terminal has introduced its first large model-native intelligent agent smartphone, the STEPX Neo, set to launch on October 13th. The device runs on Step AOS, a native intelligent agent operating system that has passed the L3 level test of national AI terminal standards. Unlike traditional smartphones, the STEPX Neo integrates large models deeply with software and hardware, featuring a new personal intelligent agent called Step Amoo. This agent can execute complex tasks based on a single instruction, such as generating a presentation from a single sentence or arranging delivery of a file. The phone also handles photography tasks, like recognizing concert poster information and assisting with ticketing and leave applications. Compared to conventional voice assistants, the STEPX Neo focuses on cross-application task execution, transforming the phone into an active task-completer rather than a passive responder.
The STEPX Neo's capabilities demonstrate a shift toward more autonomous and intelligent devices, with Step Terminal emphasizing the device's ability to handle tasks previously requiring manual intervention. This marks a significant step in the evolution of AI-powered smartphones, positioning the STEPX Neo as a pioneer in the field.
