Tencent launches educational edition of WorkBuddy for teachers

On October 19, Tencent's SSV (Sustainable Social Value) division launched the WorkBuddy Educational Edition, offering teachers nationwide access to a new AI teaching assistant. The initiative allows teachers to earn 2,000 points monthly for 12 months, with no regional or educational stage restrictions. By October 22, over 100,000 teachers had signed up, covering 1,467 cities and 45,000 schools. Tencent's SSV, in collaboration with WorkBuddy and universities like Peking University and Beijing Normal University, has developed over 100 AI-driven educational experts to support teaching design, lesson planning, and student communication. The platform will soon integrate with tools like Tencent Document and the Ima platform to streamline teachers' workflows. Teachers can apply through the 'Tencent SSV' WeChat official account, with approval taking up to three business days.
