Tencent's marvis evolves into AI concierge, enhancing user experience with device and digital asset management

On September 24, Tencent announced that its Marvis platform has upgraded from an AI assistant to an AI concierge, focusing on managing personal devices and digital assets. The update, revealed at a media briefing on September 20, highlights the platform's ability to assist users in tasks such as software installation, system optimization, and file organization. With over 40,000 daily users, the 'concierge' model has become central to how users interact with Marvis. The new version emphasizes continuous management of devices, files, software, and browser services, offering features like intelligent cleaning, performance optimization, and a local knowledge base for file organization. Marvis also integrates Tencent Docs and plans to add WeChat Work documents, enabling users to collaboratively maintain and edit content. In late October, Marvis will introduce user-built concierge capabilities, allowing users to define their own AI-driven services through natural language. Cai Jiantao, head of Tencent App Store cross-end business and Marvis, stated that AI is transforming services from application distribution to direct access, enabling users to interact with devices more naturally. The platform's new positioning also extends to cross-device management, aiming to unify data across computers, phones, NAS, and other devices through partnerships with Intel, Qualcomm, and Feiniu.
