Thunder launches first AI mobile workstation with 120b model capabilities

Thunder has unveiled its first AI mobile workstation, the AI Master M7000, set to launch on September 21 at 10:00 AM. The device is designed to run a 120-billion parameter model locally, with a final price of 19,900 RMB after discounts and subsidies. It is intended for creation, development, research, and confidential work scenarios, fitting into a 2.45kg machine. The AI Master M7000 features the AMD Ryzen AI Max+395 processor, 64GB of memory, and a dedicated AI SSD. It comes with the Herdsman local inference engine, enabling immediate use without environment setup. The 16-inch 2.5K display and 99Wh battery further enhance its portability. The chassis includes OCuLink, 2.5GbE Ethernet, and a microSD UHS-II card reader. Phison's aiDaptiv+ solution allows the SSD to act as an extension of GPU memory, enabling the 120B model to run smoothly on consumer-grade memory. This innovation reduces reliance on professional GPUs, making advanced AI capabilities more accessible.
