Trump shares ai-modified photo highlighting white house renovations

President Donald Trump shared a series of photos on Truth Social showcasing renovations to the White House, one of which was flagged as AI-edited. The image, which contrasts an old column with a 'restored' version, was detected by Google's AI tool as being modified with OpenAI technology. Users on Reddit noted inconsistencies, including an uneven number of steps on both sides of the structure, which did not match the 'before' photo. The before and after images appeared nearly identical in angle and detail, raising questions about the authenticity of the restoration. The Verge reported the incident, highlighting the controversy surrounding the use of AI in altering visual content to promote specific narratives. The incident underscores growing concerns about the manipulation of digital media and its implications for public perception.
