Uber has launched a company-wide rollout of ChatGPT Work, an AI agent designed to assist employees with various tasks within the ChatGPT Enterprise platform. The initiative, which began today, will provide access to more than 30,000 employees globally, expanding from an initial pilot involving 1,000 workers. This marks Uber’s first company-wide deployment of an agentic platform tailored for knowledge work. ChatGPT Work integrates with tools such as Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack, enabling employees to perform tasks like researching information, preparing meeting briefs, and analyzing data. The platform also grants Uber access to OpenAI’s frontier models, including GPT-6.1 Sol, which will be the default model within ChatGPT Work, balancing performance and cost efficiency. Additionally, Uber will leverage OpenAI’s multimodal capabilities, such as voice and image generation, to enhance flexibility. The rollout is supported by Uber’s internal AI skills library, approved integrations, and dedicated training programs. The expansion aligns with Uber’s broader AI strategy and its ongoing collaboration with OpenAI, with plans to share further insights on adoption and outcomes as the rollout progresses.
