U.S. investigates potential spy ties of singapore executive linked to Nvidia CEO
U.S. intelligence agencies are reportedly investigating Alice Huang, a top executive at Singapore-based Megaspeed, over concerns she may have been a Chinese spy. The inquiry follows her close ties with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, as revealed through business dinners in the Singapore region. Huang, whose name is also listed as Huang Le, was photographed with Jensen Huang during multiple events. The investigation, which has been ongoing for about a year, focuses on whether she gathered sensitive information about Nvidia’s plans and its efforts to secure approval from the Trump administration to export advanced technology to China.
Nvidia denied the allegations, stating that Jensen Huang’s interactions with Huang are routine and part of his role as a CEO. The company emphasized that regional customers receive standard business information, not sensitive trade secrets or national security data. In 2025, the Commerce Department had already investigated Megaspeed for allegedly circumventing AI chip export regulations by reselling restricted chips to Chinese companies, with Huang as a key executive at the time.
