xAI is rolling out significant infrastructure updates to its Grok Bot, a persistent AI agent designed for continuous operation in the cloud. The enhancements include shared template support, multi-account switching, Chrome profile import, and desktop exit routing. These features aim to improve cross-scenario automation and enable broader enterprise applications. Grok Bot was first publicly tested on August 11, 2026, and its access was expanded on August 21 to SuperGrok Plus subscribers, Cursor Pro+, and Cursor Teams users, with limited free trial access available to regular users. The updates are part of xAI's strategy to develop a reusable agent ecosystem. The new template feature allows users to generate private drafts and import them via shared links, with a dedicated exploration tab in settings offering preset roles and workflows tailored for researchers, sales assistants, and operations personnel. In terms of identity and network management, multi-account support helps isolate personal and work environments, while Chrome profile import brings in already authenticated browser sessions. Desktop exit routing directs cloud-based agent traffic back to the local desktop through an exit tunnel, bypassing access restrictions caused by blocked data center IP addresses. As AI agent tools transition from single conversations to complex workflow automation, xAI's upgrades are expected to provide a critical technical foundation for large-scale deployment and advanced collaboration.
