Xiaomi announces retirement of MiMo-V2.5 models, recommends upgrade to V2.6
Xiaomi has announced the retirement of its MiMo-V2.5-Pro and MiMo-V2.5 models, urging users to migrate to the newer MiMo-V2.6 series. The transition will begin on October 14, 2026, at 18:00 UTC+8, when requests to the old models will automatically be redirected to the updated versions.
The old models will be fully decommissioned on October 21, 2026, at 10:00 UTC+8, after which calls to the outdated versions will result in errors. Xiaomi officially launched the MiMo-V2.6 series on September 22, 2026, offering two versions: Pro and Flash.
The Pro version is priced at 3 yuan per million input tokens and 6 yuan per million output tokens, while Flash is priced at 1 yuan and 2 yuan respectively, with a 99% cache discount. These prices are significantly lower than those of overseas models, with costs ranging from 1/20 to 1/60 of international equivalents.
