Xiaomi robotics achieves dual milestones: 8-hour factory operation and extended home task completion
Xiaomi Group recently secured the Outstanding Contribution Award in the Innovation Breakthrough category at the 2026 World Internet Conference, with its robotics division also receiving the Leading Technology Award. During the event, the company detailed significant advancements in both industrial manufacturing and domestic applications for its robotics line.
In industrial settings, Xiaomi humanoid robots successfully completed an 8-hour operational task at a control panel side plate sorting station, validating its ability to meet full-day production demands while autonomously correcting anomalies and coordinating with the production line system.
For home use, the company's embodied foundation model began trial operations at Xiaomi Youth Apartments. Utilizing the Xiaomi-Robotics-1 pre-trained model, the system successfully executed a long-range task spanning over 30 minutes across three rooms, involving more than 50 distinct tasks. The underlying VLA model, Xiaomi-Robotics-0, features a brain-and-mind hybrid architecture capable of 80-millisecond inference latency on consumer-grade GPUs. Furthermore, Xiaomi-Robotics-1, trained on 100,000 hours of real operational trajectories, ranked first overall in both the RoboCasa 365 and RoboDojo benchmarks in July 2026. The development team built an Agent closed-loop system based on this model, enabling autonomous execution of comprehensive tasks such as tool preparation, tidying furniture, garbage disposal, and room inspection.
