Xiaomi unveils new architecture for MiMo-V3 with hysparse 2

Xiaomi's MiMo large model lead, Luo Foli, announced today that the MiMo-V3 will adopt a new architecture, with its core HySparse 2 also released. The update reduces prefill computation by 5.02 times at 1M Token length, while improving MRCRv2 and RULER-v2 scores. Luo noted that agentic reasoning involves dynamic interactions where short actions can return long text observations, increasing prefill costs and context size. The HySparse 2 introduces KV Bridging and KV Reuse, allowing local and global tokens to share the same KV cache. Xiaomi also released and open-sourced the MiMo-V2.6 series yesterday, including Pro and Flash models, as part of its RSI path exploration.
