On October 26, 2026, during the annual Gaze Conference, Xiaomi's Innovation Product Team unveiled the open-source AI hardware HachimoDock. This compact device allows users to customize it according to their preferences, offering features such as a personalized desktop companion, voice-controlled AI agent, smart home integration, and customizable components. The hardware's estimated cost is around 150 yuan, aiming to lower the barrier for AI hardware experimentation. HachimoDock enables users to interact with AI by voice, generating and running new components on demand. It can function as a microphone, gaming console, radio, or smart home control panel. The device also connects with Xiaomi's Miloco system, allowing voice-activated home automation. The software source code is now publicly available on GitHub, along with hardware components and assembly guides. Xiaomi's Innovation Product Team leader emphasized the goal of empowering users to define HachimoDock, fostering creativity and accessibility in AI hardware development.
