Xiaomi's hyperos 4 enhances xiao AI interaction with real-time feedback and task islands

On September 1, 2026, Xiaomi announced the renewal of its Xiao AI interaction with the release of HyperOS 4. Earlier in August, Xiaomi had introduced version 8.2 of Xiao AI, which included two new features. One was 'Code Island,' allowing users to add recognized codes to the Xiaomi Super Island by swiping three fingers on the code display page. The Xiao AI App 8.2 was rolled out starting August 28, and users on the HyperOS 4 Beta version could check for updates through the app store. Updates were being distributed in batches, and those who had not yet received the update were advised to wait up to five days for the full rollout. The enhancements to Xiao AI in HyperOS 4 focus on real-time motion feedback and task island functionality, aiming to improve user experience by making interactions more intuitive and efficient.
