Xiaomi's MiMo-V2.6 model surpasses open-source competitors with superior cost-effectiveness

On September 22, Xiaomi launched its latest large model, MiMo-V2.6, featuring two native multimodal versions, Pro and Flash. The Pro version scored 46 points on the AA Intelligence Index, surpassing models like Kimi K3 and Qwen3.8Max, and becoming the strongest open-source model. Xiaomi acknowledged that it still trails behind closed-source models such as Claude Fable5.1 and GPT-6Astra. Xiaomi emphasized the cost-effectiveness of MiMo-V2.6, with Flash costing 0.02 yuan and Pro at 0.025 yuan, undercutting previous versions and competitors. The model's pricing and performance have set a new benchmark for AI cost-effectiveness, with only Astra, Fable, and Meta's Muse1.3Max and GPT-5.6Sol Max able to outperform it. Xiaomi claimed its cost-effectiveness is about 60 times that of overseas AI models. Alongside the model, Xiaomi introduced the MiMo Desktop client and a subscription plan, offering access to both Pro and Flash versions. The UltraSpeed mode for Pro increases inference speed up to 20 times, ideal for real-time applications.
