YouTube introduces AI label for ai-generated music tracks

YouTube is introducing a 'Made with AI' label for music tracks that are either altered or fully generated using artificial intelligence. This initiative mirrors its existing approach for labeling AI-generated videos. The label will be applied to tracks created using generative models for composition and vocals, though it does not cover all AI tool usage in music production. YouTube outlines disclosure requirements for music partners, stating that lack of disclosure may lead to the use of 'other signals' to determine if a track is AI-generated. The rollout of the label begins today, as reported by The Verge.
