Zenzap secures $44m to revolutionize workplace communication with ai-powered messaging
Zenzap, an AI-driven messaging platform aiming to replace consumer apps like WhatsApp in the workplace, has raised $44 million in funding. The round includes investments from Bessemer, Lightspeed, The Garage, and notable individuals such as Nir Zohar and Yoram Tietz. Guy Weiss, the founder, previously sold his e-commerce platform StuccoMedia in 2015 and launched Zenzap in 2022 after meeting Bessemer partner Adam Fisher. Weiss initially bootstrapped the project but later decided to seek venture backing to scale the business. Zenzap offers features like AI-powered voice chat, task management, and workflow automation, targeting industries such as hospitality, healthcare, and fast food. The company currently serves clients like FedEx, Starbucks, and Taco Bell, with plans to expand its workforce.
Weiss emphasized the need for a secure, AI-integrated messaging solution that separates work from personal life, a concept Fisher of Bessemer believes can appeal to a broad audience. The startup’s free tier includes basic chat features, while paid plans start at $51 per month for up to 20 users. Zenzap’s focus on non-developer users positions it as a potential alternative to Slack, with Fisher noting its potential to cater to the majority of employees using personal messaging apps.
