Zhipu unveils next-generation AI model with full business integration focus

At its 2026 half-year performance briefing, Zhipu revealed progress on its next-generation large model, emphasizing a large foundation model approach and setting the goal of full business integration on the day of launch. The company aims to resolve the industry challenge of large models being difficult to apply practically. Zhipu did not disclose technical specifications during the briefing, stating it will focus on mid-training and post-training work later. The company has initiated preliminary research on the inference side to ensure efficient performance from day one. Zhipu also released its first-half 2026 financial results, reporting 954 million yuan in revenue, a 399.7% increase year-on-year, and a gross profit of 252 million yuan, up 163.7%. Net loss for the parent company was -2.071 billion yuan, narrowing by 12.1% compared to the previous year. The company is accelerating in both technological innovation and commercialization, with a focus on full business integration, potentially offering a new reference for the industry.
