Alibaba's QwenBook AI device in early testing phase

Alibaba Cloud's No-Image team is developing an AI device named QwenBook, which is positioned as a native intelligent agent computer. The product is currently in its early trial phase, focusing on office scenarios and integrating models such as Qwen3.8-Max and Qwen3.8-Flash. According to an Alibaba Cloud insider, the product definition and hardware are independently developed by the team, while leveraging system and end-cloud capabilities from No-Image's cloud computer field. The QwenBook team consists of approximately 150 people, with the system team reorganized from No-Image and Alibaba Cloud OS teams, and the hardware team recruiting talent from leading smartphone manufacturers. From a product positioning perspective, QwenBook is not an AI upgrade of a traditional tablet but aims to use large models and intelligent agent capabilities as the core interaction method. The device integrates Alibaba's models, operating systems, and end-cloud collaboration capabilities into a new AI terminal. However, the product is still in its early stage, and the final form and specific launch plans remain unclear.
