ByteDance launches 'doupo work' as unified AI productivity brand

ByteDance has officially launched 'Doupo Work', a new AI-powered productivity tool designed to streamline complex workflows. The product, part of the Doupo brand, enables users to autonomously break down tasks, invoke tools, and manage intricate processes. The desktop version is now available for download via the official website, with users able to access it through the latest Doupo desktop app. A 30-day free subscription is offered to new users who download or upgrade. Doupo Work provides content generation and editing capabilities for common office tasks such as writing reports, organizing meeting notes, and data analysis. Its AI collaboration feature allows users to edit specific sections of documents, tables, or presentations without regenerating entire content, improving efficiency and reducing computational load. The tool can also interact directly with browsers and computers, performing tasks across software applications with user authorization. It supports long-running processes by leveraging cloud computing, allowing tasks to continue even when the computer is turned off. Mobile users can remotely control their desktops to continue work while away. Doupo Work integrates with a range of AI capabilities, including skills, connectors, and work partners, enabling users to expand their toolset across fields like data analysis, content planning, and finance. Users can form AI teams composed of specialized agents to handle complex projects, such as data research reports, by combining expertise in data, research, and design. A key differentiator of Doupo Work is its deep understanding of user work context, achieved through integration with Feishu. Users who log in with their Feishu accounts inherit enterprise knowledge and context, including chat records, documents, and meeting notes, allowing the tool to deliver more accurate results based on real-world data rather than isolated user input. Feishu’s original enterprise version of Doupo has been rebranded as Doupo Work. Content and knowledge created with Doupo Work are continuously integrated back into Feishu, becoming reusable enterprise knowledge for future tasks. The tool also features a comprehensive security framework, including device access controls, data encryption, and operation auditing, ensuring user data remains isolated and secure. Doupo Work is now among the first AI productivity tools in China to pass both office AI capability and cloud benchmark certifications.
